Blissful Bonds will be permanently closing on 31st December
Blissful Bonds counselling service will be permanently closing at the end of this year.This decision follows the pause on new registrations which has been in place since July due to funding constraints.Unfortunately, our funding for this service concludes on 1st January 2026, and will not be renewed. Therefore, the service will cease operations on 31st December 2025.The Blissful Bonds website and user platform will be automatically taken offline on the 1st January.From 31st December 2025 all data, including any counselling notes, journals or session records will be permanently deleted.We urge all current and past users to log in and download a copy of any personal data you wish to keep before 23:59 on 31st December, 2025.Action Required:Final Counselling Sessions:
All active counselling sessions will conclude by 19th December 2025. Your counsellor should already have notified you of this and made recommendations on future arrangements or other organisations.Access Your Data: You can log in and download your notes, reports, intimacy survey results and feedback until 31st December 2025.
We are devastated by the closure of Blissful Bonds. For 5 years we have been offering this support to over 350 couples, a number that has grown steadily to make 2025 the year that we reached most people.Our mission was always to provide a safe and supportive space that changed the conversation on marriage counselling in the UK.From our innovative intimacy survey to our supportive couples counselling it felt like we were really making progress - supporting many of you on your journey to improve your relationship.Our proudest moment came in June when 85% of our referrals came via word of mouth. The fact that couples who had come to us were then recommending the service to others showed the impact that we were having.When our couples felt comfortable enough to share with friends or family that they've engaged in marriage counselling (and that they would recommend it) made us feel that we were achieving that mission.
Unfortunately that progress was part of a 5 year plan, and our main funding source has changed their focus and has withdrawn.We have worked tirelessly since July (when it became clear funding wouldn't be renewed) to find alternative sources to continue providing this service free of charge. Unfortunately this hasn't been possible and the ethos of Blissful Bonds has always been on free support - so we have no alternative but to close the service.It has been a true privilege to be part of your stories.
